Obituary

Our beloved Jason entered the world on April 14th, 1972 in a robust fashion that exemplified how he would live his life.
Jason spent most of his early life growing up in Bellingham, Washington. He had a determination that was evidenced when he first learned to ski. After three lessons, he was skiing the black diamond runs, leaving Mom and Dad still on the bunny slopes.
As he grew into a young man, he became a father to his only beautiful son, Jake.
Jason had a passion for the outdoors. He loved hunting and fishing and eventually moved to North Central Washington to be nearer to his father and step-mother, and to be closer to the natural beauty of the terrain he loved.
It was soon established that he had inherited a talent for welding from his father and grandfather. He obtained his certification and pursued a career as a welder.
Jason eventually moved to Coeur d’ Alene, Idaho and worked for several companies in the Spokane and Coeur d’ Alene areas where he made many new friends. He loved living in Idaho where he had access to explore the wilderness he so loved on his A.T.V.
Jason was a witty, loving, fun and generous man that brought joy to all who knew him.
Our dear Jason, although no farewell words were spoken, no time to say goodbye, you were gone before we knew it, and only God knows why.

  1. We only knew Jason through Jim and Nancy but felt he was a part of our lives. The Bible says that God gives every man a measure of faith and we know Jason had that measure of faith in his spirit. We prayed for Jason many times and asked God to have mercy on him and give him peace. It is a sure thing that our Lord is not slack in His mercy and feeling for the trials of peoples lives. We love you Jason although we never met.

  2. I worked with Jason and I could always count on his smile and one of a kind laugh that could be heard through out the shop. He was always happy and upbeat even when times around the shop would be busy and stressful. I will miss his generosity too with the results of his hunting and fishing skills and the stories that went with them. You will be a coworker that I will never forget and when your name is mentioned, will bring a smile to my face.

I am truely sorry to hear of the loss of Jason. I pray that through family and friends all those who had a close relationship with him would be comforted during this difficult time. God bless you and may the soul of Jason rest in the everlasting peace of our savior Jesus Christ. May we all look back on the special memories we shared with Jason and smile. I was blessed to have Jason as one of my best friends growing up. We spent what seems like weeks at a time together hunting, fishing and acting silly like typical teenage boys. If there was a season for it, Jason and I went after it; fish, turkey, ducks, grouse and so on. During those times, not only did I see the love Jason had for the outdoors, but I saw the love Mr. Jim and Ms. Nancy had for Jason. Love, joy and peace was always evident in the Elvig home and I am grateful to have experienced it. Thank you Jason, Mr. Jim and Ms. Nancy for the wonderful memories growing up. I pray that Gods pease and love comfort you.

I will truly miss your BIG smile and shy laugh. You always brightened up any room you you walked into. I know when I look into the heavens above, you are up there looking right back down at us and watching over.

Over the years I watched him excell in those things he loved to do, I had the privilege of doing some of those hunting and fishing trips with Jason (you to Jim ) wouldn’t trade those good times for anything. He will be missed. lindy
