Obituary

Our beloved Jason entered the world on April 14th, 1972 in a robust fashion that exemplified how he would live his life.
Jason spent most of his early life growing up in Bellingham, Washington. He had a determination that was evidenced when he first learned to ski. After three lessons, he was skiing the black diamond runs, leaving Mom and Dad still on the bunny slopes.
As he grew into a young man, he became a father to his only beautiful son, Jake.
Jason had a passion for the outdoors. He loved hunting and fishing and eventually moved to North Central Washington to be nearer to his father and step-mother, and to be closer to the natural beauty of the terrain he loved.
It was soon established that he had inherited a talent for welding from his father and grandfather. He obtained his certification and pursued a career as a welder.
Jason eventually moved to Coeur d’ Alene, Idaho and worked for several companies in the Spokane and Coeur d’ Alene areas where he made many new friends. He loved living in Idaho where he had access to explore the wilderness he so loved on his A.T.V.
Jason was a witty, loving, fun and generous man that brought joy to all who knew him.
Our dear Jason, although no farewell words were spoken, no time to say goodbye, you were gone before we knew it, and only God knows why.

  1. I met Jason through Nancy and Jim and though I only met him a couple times, I feel I knew some wonderful things about him. I know that he loved to hunt and fish with his father. Whenever Jim would tell me about an upcoming adventure or one that had just happened, Jim’s face would light up with a smile. I also know that Jason was a skilled welder and that Nancy felt he could go anywhere he wanted with his abilities. She and Jim were so proud of his hard work and the mastery he developed in this area. Because I have seen Jim’s skill in the blacksmith area of the arts, I know that their praise of Jason was well earned. I know that Jim and Nancy loved Jason with all their heart and that tells me that he was someone very special.

  2. I’ll always remember the first time we met Jason. It was on a Labor Day weekend many years ago. For us, he was one of those kind of guys you like as soon as you meet him. When we would catch up with him off and on, there was always that wonderful smile and a big hug and you knew it was sincere. We have a beautiful bench seat made by Jason for us that has a special meaning now more than ever. When we thanked him for it he was so humble.
You have left us in this world far to soon and will be so missed. May you rest in the peace of God’s arms forever.

I had the pleasure of meeting Jason after he and his father had shot a deer. He was so thrilled. I met him again just before Christmas in 2013. He was a very nice person, just like his dad and stepmom. I remember when he and his dad went hunting for a week or so also in 2013 and Jim told me what a great time they had together. I am so thankful that they had that time together.
    He will be truly missed.

Remember, you never get over it, just use to it.

    Love you my friends.

  5. I met Jason on a cold day in January of 2008 it was his first day of welding class. What an interesting day. He gave new meaning to the term Stick electrode, because he stuck it more than welded.Over the 4 months that I had him as a student he advanced very well. He always had the big vivacious smile and the Lane come check this out how can I do better attitude. After completing the program, I had the pleasure of Inspecting his welding in the following years and it was as always (Lane come check this out how can I do it better). I will miss the Lane come check it out, the big vivacious smile and the enthusiasm he had for Life and the People in his life. May you rest in piece my friend knowing that you touched the lives of so many others.
