Obituary

Our beloved Jason entered the world on April 14th, 1972 in a robust fashion that exemplified how he would live his life.
Jason spent most of his early life growing up in Bellingham, Washington. He had a determination that was evidenced when he first learned to ski. After three lessons, he was skiing the black diamond runs, leaving Mom and Dad still on the bunny slopes.
As he grew into a young man, he became a father to his only beautiful son, Jake.
Jason had a passion for the outdoors. He loved hunting and fishing and eventually moved to North Central Washington to be nearer to his father and step-mother, and to be closer to the natural beauty of the terrain he loved.
It was soon established that he had inherited a talent for welding from his father and grandfather. He obtained his certification and pursued a career as a welder.
Jason eventually moved to Coeur d’ Alene, Idaho and worked for several companies in the Spokane and Coeur d’ Alene areas where he made many new friends. He loved living in Idaho where he had access to explore the wilderness he so loved on his A.T.V.
Jason was a witty, loving, fun and generous man that brought joy to all who knew him.
Our dear Jason, although no farewell words were spoken, no time to say goodbye, you were gone before we knew it, and only God knows why.

  1. Jason, you made a difference in so many people’s lives. I remember you as a very bright child, full of life and curious about everything. Sadly our paths did not cross again and your journey was cut short. But I know that you are resting with the Lord and that I will see you again.

  2. We will miss Jason and his infectious smile and great attitude. May you rest in peace Jason.

For the short amount of time i knew jason i met an interesting individual. He was a very nice person right off the bat and i thought he was kind harted and he gave me a warm welcome to the company. His welding skills were off the chart and we spent many days talking about hunting, guns and bows.it is very sad knowing that i will not be able to hear his stories or sit and b.s over lunch anymore.i just know he is in good hands now and god rest his soul . He truely was a good guy and tried hard for the best in my eyes…

Linda. So sorry for your loss, Diane and I send our deepest condolences. It’s unfortunate that we never had the opportunity to meet your son but I know he was a great guy. I know from my own personal experience that It’s not easy to let go. Diane and I can only hope that you will come to terms with this tragedy, as I have with mine. We are still loved, we are still needed in this life. If there is an after life we will surly be greeted. Until then just know that you’re not alone and you have a home in all of our hearts!

  5. I shall never forget the huge smile and twinkling eyes Jason had as a child when he and his mother and father were back in Davenport, Iowa when Jim was attending chiropractic college. Jason played with our two sons, Aaron & Ron for hours at a time, especially during the spring and summer months. They were outside so much in the summer Jason’s & Ron’s hair were both bleach blond from the sun.I am not sure why some people’s life journey is cut short, but they are. We will miss that very fine young man, and are grateful for the time that we did have to spend with him.

Barry & Kathy Quam, with condolences from Aron & Ron Quam.
