Obituary

Ruth Frances Cogswell passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 27, 2013. She was 88, born November 18, 1924 to Bert and Gertrude Chamberlain in Hudson, MA.
Ruth met and married the love of her life Charles in Massachusetts shortly after WWII. With a pioneering spirit they ventured west and settled in Bellingham, where they lived out the rest of their lives. They loved the area and enjoyed raising their children here.
Ruth had an unwavering love of God and family. She worked at the National Bank of Commerce and later on at Sehome High School Library. She was very active in Northwest Baptist Church where she played piano, organ, sang in the choir and helped with many activities. In her later years she found great joy in watching all the old shows on Chanel 12-MeTV. She loved to play card and board games and was a fierce competitor to the very end. In her declining years she would often ask why am I still here? I just want to go home and be with the Lord. Although we are saddened by her passing, we can rejoice in knowing she is safely home in the loving arms of the Father.
Ruth was preceded in death by her husband Charles. She is survived by her children, Linda, Paul, Gary, John, Sally; extended family including spouses, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and many friends.

Please accept my sympathy to the loving Children,Family & Friends in the very painful loss of your dearly loved Ruth. She lived such a full life and will be long-remembered by all those who knew & loved her. Hopefully you will be comforted by the Bible Verses that follow: Rev21:4-5 “AND HE WILL WIPE OUT EVERY TEAR FROM THEIR EYES AND DEATH WILL BE NO MORE,THE FORMER THINGS HAVE PASSED AWAY”
