In Loving Memory of Wayde John Pietroski

Wayde John Pietroski, beloved father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on 04/01/2024, leaving behind a legacy of love and kindness that will forever be cherished by those who were fortunate enough to know him. Wayde was born on 07/30/1965 in Bellingham, Washington, and spent his life spreading warmth and joy to everyone he encountered.’

Wayde was known for his big bear hugs that could comfort anyone in need and his fondness for engaging in long, meaningful conversations. He found joy in spending time with his loved ones, whether it was through family gatherings or trips to Skagit Speedway, where he would share laughter and excitement with those closest to him.

He served the country in the Army from 1986-1990. Deployed in Germany as an Army tank driver. He earned, Expert Sharpshooter Marksmanship, Expert Marksmanship Grenade, Driver and Mechanic Badges. He was very proud of his time in the army and proud of the friends he made.

Outside of the Army, his favorite activities included fishing, football, basketball, and frisbee golf, but above all, he cherished moments spent with his children and grandchildren. Wayde was a graduate of Lynden High School and pursued a career in painting, where he showcased his talent and dedication to his craft.

Described by many as loving, kindhearted, selfless, giving, and caring, Wayde touched the lives of countless individuals with his generosity and compassion. He had a habit of always checking in on those he cared about and never missed a chance to connect, whether it was through monthly lunch dates or simple phone calls.

Wayde leaves behind a legacy of love that will be carried on by his survivors: his son Brent Pietroski, daughters Mariah Pietroski, Cherish Pietroski, and Cassandra Arestad, along with his siblings Diane Park, Fred Park, and Donny Park. Additionally, he leaves behind eight adored grandchildren: Alysa, Lane, Sawyer, Emersyn, Maci “JoJo”, Wrenley, Miles, and Baby Girl Layton (Due in May), as well as three nieces and one nephew.

Though he may no longer be with us in body, Wayde’s spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of those he touched. May his soul rest in eternal peace, and may we find solace in the beautiful memories we shared with him.

A Celebration of Life will be held on April 27th, 2024 at 1-4 pm. It will be located at Burthusen Park, 8837 Burthusen Rd., Lynden, WA, 98264.
