Obituary

On the morning of Thursday, June 30, 2022, less than a week before his 67th birthday, Richard “Rick” M. King Jr. passed away holding the hands of two of his children.

Fisherman, father and friend, Rick’s passion for meeting people and being outdoors was known to all. Rick had degrees in Arts & Sciences and Business Administration, which he primarily used in his work as an Independent Construction Contractor (15+ years) and fiberglass boat builder. If not on his own boat fishing, he was be found working on or riding his motorcycle, off-roading, spending time with family and friends, or sharing his knowledge and skills with others.

There are few people as accepting, outgoing, and hardworking as Rick. His values of openness, tolerance, adventure, industry and creativity lives on in his five children, Father Richard M. King Sr., and all those he knew and loved.
