  1. I am so blessed to have met an Angel like her. She always had this way about her that you would be able to talk to her and she would care bout what you are saying. She always made it her mission to celebrate are birthdays. I don’t know how she did it but she would pass a card around for everyone at work to sign with out you knowing about it. She really was the life blood of Habitat for humanity. We have truly lost an Angel. My prayers are with her and her family. GOD BLESS YOU BECCA I know we have an Angel watching over us.

  3. We knew Becca working as volunteers for Habitat For Humanity of Bellingham. Becca supervised Linda who volunteered in the office. Becca was professional yet always friendly and kind. She was clearly highly respected, trusted, and well-liked by Board, co-workers, and volunteers. In the less busy moments we enjoyed sharing info about favorite movies. Simply said we really liked her! We are praying God’s peace and love provide comfort to Becca’s family and friends who are hurting and missing her.

  4. I volunteered with Becca at Whatcom Humane Society where she worked with the dogs. She was such a remarkable, compassionate, loving person with those dogs, and the small, terrified dogs loved her. Although I am a dog trainer, Becca had it over me in her ability to win their trust and affection. I would sometimes walk down the corridor and see her sitting in a kennel with a tiny dog cradled in her lap who had only moments before been barking hysterically at me. She’d look up and smile her beautiful smile, blissfully in dog-heaven. She had boundless patience and sensitivity with all the dogs–small, medium and huge–but was a gift to those who were fearful. I will miss Becca terribly. She was a special, vibrant, wonderful soul.

Becca’s was not the loudest voice at Habitat for Humanity staff meetings but it was one of the most influential in helping shape decisions about knotty problems. She was a quiet but powerful force. Her commitment to Habitat, to common sense, and to her unerring compass always helped us decide on what was the right thing to do. Becca remembered everyone’s birthday and employment anniversary and made sure we celebrated in the most caring way. Whether your favorite treat was Ben and Jerry’s ice cream or locally sourced, organic vegetables, she had you covered on your special day.
For the last five years we have come to take excellence in our accounting and internal controls for granted. No one could have done a better job.

She will be missed, not only as a co-worker, but as a decent human being whose ethics and compassion we should all emulate.

Our condolences and deepest sympathy goes out to all who knew her. We were the blessed ones to be in her presence and now feel the emptiness of her leaving this world.

    God bless, Becca!
