Obituary

Orville Pheifer of Bellingham, WA passed away February. 22, 2016 at the age of 91. He was born July 19, 1924 to Henry and Gertie Pheifer.
Orville graduated from Ferndale High School. He served 3 years in the United States Army and was stationed in France. He worked as a farmer, mechanic, owned Lamplighter Mobile Court and managed Grandview Golf Course.
He was preceded in death by daughter Laurie Ann and son Allen Pheifer.
Orville and his wife Gladys celebrated 54 years of marriage before her death in December 2000. He remarried in 2002 to Marcella who passed September 2015.
Orville was the oldest of six children; Elsie Nelson, Wyona Jodock, Harvey Pheifer, Roy Pheifer and Jeannie Heverling.
Orville is survived by his son Ron Pheifer (Beth), his grandchildren Travis (Susan), Randy, Seth and Leah Pheifer, great-grandchildren; Adriane, Madison, Makayla and Erica Pheifer. Orville enjoyed golfing and playing pool with his friends. He loved to travel and was able
to visit every state in the US. He spent several winters in Arizona. His sense of humor will be missed by many.
The family would like to thank the caring staff and friends at Spring Creek Assisted Living for all the joy they brought him.
A graveside service will be held at Greenacres Memorial Park on Thursday February 25, at 2pm.

    I’m so sorry to hear of Uncle Orville’s passing. I’m sure he is rejoicing in heaven and is free from pain. I will be praying for you all as you celebrate his life tomorrow.

  3. I am so sorry to hear about Great Uncle Orville and very sad for your family. I just adored Uncle Orville – He always had a smile on his face, made me feel special and seemed to have such a great outlook on life and family. Our thoughts are with you.
