Obituary

Myrtle Mae Evans, cherished mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother passed away Thursday, July 19th, surrounded by her loving children.

Myrtle was born on September 19, 1930 in Boyds, WA to Charles and Mabel Robbins. She was one of nine children. Myrtle graduated from Blaine, WA. She met the love of her life, Marvin Evans, in Blaine and they were married on October 23, 1953. Marvin was in the Air Force for 20 years so they spent many years in a variety of locations. Myrtle and Marvin raised three children; Melinda (Jim) of Everson, Jeff (Mandy) of Bellingham, and Tim (Autumn) of Manson. They have seven grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by one brother, Bill “Pete” Robbins.

Myrtle enjoyed shopping and loved to spoil all her grandkids. Watching their sporting events was a highlight in her life. Ceramics, swimming, and flower arranging were a few of her hobbies. She was a devoted Christian throughout her life and loved to listen to her Christian music. If you knew Myrtle well, you know how much she enjoyed telling everyone how to drive. God bless her. Myrtle will be missed by her family and friends.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, July 28th, 2018 at 10:00am followed by a graveside service at 11:00am, both at Moles Farewell Tributes Greenacres (5700 NW Dr. Ferndale).

Myrtle’s home for the last approximately 2 years was Arcadia Adult Family Home in Bellingham where she received kind and gentle care.
