Obituary

Marlyce Pansy Lefler of Lynden, Washington died peacefully on Wednesday, October 7th, 2015 in Bellingham, Washington at the age of 71.

Marlyce was born on September 13th, 1944 in Bellingham to the late Lee and Pansy Schwartz and grew up locally with her only brother, Robert Schwartz.

She was an active member of her community and found great joy in her role as a housewife and mother.

Marlyce is survived by her husband, Cliff Lefler and his four daughters, her only child, Marci Longanecker (Brian Longanecker), her four grandchildren, Susanne Pavlyuk (Taras Pavlyuk), Brice Longanecker, Forrest Longanecker and Bailey Longanecker, her brother Robert Schwartz and her sweet dog, Sophie.

The funeral service for Marlyce will be held on Sunday, October 18th at 1:00 PM at Greenacres Memorial Park.

The family asks that in lieu of flowers, cards or any other material expressions of sympathy, friends and family make donations to the Multiple Sclerosis Foundation in Marlyce’s name.

Additionally, the family extends their deepest gratitude to the staff at Mt. Baker Care Center, who provided care, love and support that far exceeded any hopes or expectations.

Marlyce’s sense of humor, loving heart and kind spirit will live on in the memories and stories told by the countless family and friends that will carry them forth.

  4. The passing of Marlyce is bitter sweet. She will be missed by so many and for that we are sad…but we are so grateful that she no longer is struggling.Such a special lady [one-of-a-kind] and will not soon be forgotten. Thanks for the memories Marlyce!!!
