Obituary

Makayla Mikal Nicolaas

Makayla Mikal Nicolaas, 13 years old, was born September 29th, 1998, in Bellingham, WA, to Karen and Rick Nicolaas of Ferndale, WA. Makayla is survived by her parents; her sisters, Mackenzie and Mallory; brother, Bryson; sister-in-law, Andee; and grandparents, George and Sarah Eldridge and Frank and Betty Barnes. Makayla is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and many wonderful friends.
Makayla attended Eagleridge Elementary and loved to play basketball, fast-pitch softball, and soccer. Makayla’s natural talent allowed her to excel in every sport she played. She loved the outdoors and the animals she raised, especially her rooster, Larry. In lieu of flowers, the Nicolaas family would appreciate donations to Hospice House at 2800 Douglas Avenue Bellingham, WA 98225. Makayla lives on in all of our hearts and will be dearly missed.
