  1. I have a lot of memories of my cousin Kris because it seems we were over at my aunt and uncle’s house almost every weekend when I was a kid. The age gap prevented us from being confidantes, but I remember when I was 12 she tried to help me find my inner girl by putting together a manicure kit for me and showing me how to take care of my hands. As we got older we did not see each other very often, but I had the good fortune to see both her and Jeff while they were living in Wyoming. We had an enjoyable visit, and, although I know it wasn’t an easy decision, I am glad she got an opportunity to travel and to have that experience with Jeff. Her gift of herself has given hope to so many; it seems like a good way to remember her, and a comfort to know that she will continue to live even as she has given others new life.
