Obituary

LIVE – LAUGH – LOVE

Kristin’s journey ended on Aug 14th by joining her angels after a five year courageous fight with several medical issues.

Kristin was a 1988 graduate of Ferndale High School and attended the University of Portland School of nursing. Her last employments were with St Joseph Hospital as an OR scheduler, then Pacific Rim Scheduling and Northwest Health Linen.
Kristin enjoyed spending time with family, watching & cheering on the Seahawks and Huskies, crafting, and spending time at the casino.

Kristin was preceded in death by her father Byron Wingate, grandparents Lynn & Florence Blunt, her Grandma Mantifel and her Uncle Dwight Lynn Blunt Jr.
She is survived by her daughters Kiera & Kambria McDonald, her Mother Cheryl Wingate, Sister Devia Wingate, Niece Shelby and Nephew Byron, Special Father figures Ray Hunter and Sanford Crane, numerous Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins.

Special thanks to Dr. Gargano and his nurse Kirsten, Dr. Roberts of Virginia Mason in Seattle, to her many special home health care nurses and therapist – your compassionate care was most appreciated.

No matter what life dealt Kristin, she always put her girls first. She persevered through it all to make sure her daughters were taken care of. She always looked for the good in every one of her situations that came before her and lived up to her motto “Live-Laugh-Love. She truly was an inspiration to all that came into her life.

It was truly an honor to be Kristin’s home health nurse – she always had a positive outlook, and taught me that even when I felt like life was a challenge, in comparison it was not, never to give up- love for family first. She was an inspiration to those who were lucky enough to meet her. My thoughts and love are with you Cheryl, Kambria, Kiara and Denielle- . -Peg

You were the strongest, kindest, most beautiful woman I have ever known. You never gave up, and you persevered through everything. You always knew how to make me laugh and I will miss the joy you brought to each day. I could not have asked for a better mama. Thank you for always being there. Say hi to everyone for me. Love your baby girl,
