Obituary

John Manos, age 87, passed away on November 3, 2020 in Bellingham, WA. He was born on March 10, 1933 in Bellingham to parents Pete and Panoria (Karaskoza) Manos. He attended Bellingham High School, then served in the U.S. Air Force from 1952-1956. He later attended tech school on the GI Bill to learn watch and jewelry repair. He was the proud owner of John’s Watch Repair in Bellingham for over 40 years.

In his free time, John enjoyed listening to good music, watching sports, and of course tinkering with watches and electronics. But above all else, John was a family man. He was always involved in the lives of his children and grandchildren and loved them all so much. He was always having fun telling jokes or playing pranks. He always looked forward to dining out at various restaurants with family and friends, truly enjoying everyone’s company.

John will be remembered most for his love of life and family. He built character in his children and grandchildren through his own values, morals, and integrity. He was incredibly generous, kind, thoughtful, funny, honest, and stubborn! He will be dearly missed.

John is preceded in death by his sons Brian Manos and Peter Manos, his granddaughter Kelsey Manos, his brothers Pete Manos and Andy Manos, and his sister Jeri Graham.

He is survived by his children Jules (Lisa) Manos, Cheri Manos, Michelle (Erik) Frederickson, and Gale (Steve) Outzs, his eight grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and six nieces and nephews.

John will be laid to rest at Bayview Cemetery in Bellingham, Washington.
