Obituary

Born Fern Elizabeth Littlefield in Rochester N.H., January 22, 1954 to Sidney and Eleanor Littlefield. She is survived by her husband Kristian Teshera, daughters Stephanie Teshera and Heather Teshera, sister Donna Littlefield of Rochester N.H, brothers Dana Littlefield of Nashua N.H and Brian Littlefield of Somersworth, N.H as well as nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

To her husband she was a best friend, buddy, true sparkle and life partner. He greatly depended on and will forever appreciate her wisdom, creativity, humor, spirit and spunk.

To her daughters she was more than a mom, she was a true and dear friend. She led by example and her presence will be missed.

In just under 68 years, Jennifern lived a full life and lived fully. Born the seventh child in Rochester, New Hampshire, she enjoyed growing up in a small town. As a youth, at an Easter Service at True Memorial Baptist Church, Rochester, N.H. she gave her life to Jesus Christ and dedicated her life to God. After graduating from Spaulding High School, she attended college at Houghton College in Houghton New York for two years, intending on becoming a nurse. In order to get clinical hours, she transferred to Berkshire Christian College in Lenox, Massachusetts. There instead she changed her major to Elementary Education and became a teacher. At BCC, she also met her husband. They were married on January 1, 1977. While she finished up her studies by correspondence, together they moved to Fort Worth, Texas where she taught elementary school and served the Lord as her husband pastored the Riverside Advent Christian Church for three years. After they left Texas, they moved back to Massachusetts for three years where she taught school while her husband pastored a local church and continued his studies. Ever the best travel companions, they traveled Europe for six months hoping to live in Europe for a time, but instead life brought them back to Massachusetts. While living there they had their twin daughters. From then on Jennifern worked from her home, homeschooling her children and serving as a secretary for her husband’s counselling business. Together as a new family they moved across the country to Oregon. Starting in her family and reaching out to everyone she met, she encouraged those around her in their walks with the Lord. She loved praying with and for the people God brought in her life. She filled her family’s home with Bible verses and worship music. Together they lived life in the Washington County area for over 30 years. Over those years they traveled across America and around the world. From the States, to Canada to the Philippines and back to Europe, she traveled with her family and enjoyed the people she met.

Jennifern loved all people, from babies, youth to adults. She made friends easily and everywhere she went. No matter where she lived, she invested her time and energy in a local fellowship of Christian believers and invested in the lives in each community. She also loved animals and dreamed of owning a small farm with goats and chickens. Her hobbies included traveling, writing, reading, painting, knitting, gardening, flower arranging, walking or riding her bicycle and feeding backyard birds. Most of all she dedicated her life and time to knowing the Lord Jesus. If you asked what her favorite book of the Bible was, there is no answer – she loved every book and verse. Jennifern loved sharing God’s word along with prayer to encourage the hurting and relieve the needs of those to whom she ministered.

She has left behind many friends who loved her dearly. Many of these friends, along with her family, are taking comfort in the words of Apostle Paul: “Brothers and sisters, we do not want you to be uninformed about those who sleep in death, so that you do not grieve like the rest of mankind, who have no hope.  For we believe that Jesus died and rose again, and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him.”
