I was named after my Aunt Jean and was sorry to hear of her death. I cherished our long distance relationship and have many wonderful memories of our times together when we were able to visit her every few years in our travels west. We would laugh and talk together late into the night and by day, watch the squirrels and birds perform in her beautiful back yard. She triumphed over many adversities by rising above them and fashioned her life her way. She had a keen sense of humor, a sharp intelligence, and seemed to possess the strength of steel. In her life, she relocated to the state of Washington from Pennsylvania, fished the waters off Alaska, worked hard to support herself, provided home care for her mother (my much loved Grandma Knapp) until Grandma’s death, buried her youngest son, and still was able to move forward and love life and her family including her cat Henrietta. I will miss her but I’m grateful to have had her in my life!

May God hold you and your family at this painful moment and give you comfort as you mourn the untimely death of your loved one. May the words of Matthew 5:4 “ Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted” bring the entire family comfort and strength. Please accept my sincere condolences.
