  1. I only have fond memories of Jane. I can still see her smiling and laughing during rehearsal, and me joking with her during break. I will always remember her as one of the “Janes”, along with our other beloved departed member, Jane Lund, being so generous with her extra volunteer contributions to the orchestra. I always appreciated those delicious snacks! :)
I am so glad I was able to know Jane over the years in WSO, and am honored to be playing some of her favorite music at her service. Thank you for asking me, Julia! <3 Love you, Jane! Thank you for everything. RIP.

  2. I knew Jane from Assistance League and just loved her. She was a dedicated, hardworking, and loyal member who enriched us all with her presence. We miss her and send our condolences to her family.Brenda Dennis

To Sarah and the rest of Jane’s family,
I have known Jane for…well…almost forever through the Whatcom Symphony. I had known her for years as one of the “Janes” – quiet, smiling, gracious, and giving. But I didn’t really get to know Jane until she moved to Lynden Manor. Emily, Amie and I had the privilege of taking Jane into our carpool to WSO. Her wonderful personality shone through even the fog of dementia. Her humor stands out most of all in my memory. Fiesty, funny, and thoughtful. She gave us good advice in our time together, told us stories about her life…and about you “kids”…all good!…and she laughed at our stories too. Thank you for allowing us to have that time with Jane. I’m glad to have gotten to know her better. I’m so sorry for the loss you are experiencing. I wish I could tell you that in person but I’m unable to come to the service on Saturday because of work. I just want you all to know that Jane was a delight and an inspiration and she will not be forgotten.

    Love and blessings to you.

    Gaye
