Obituary

Ila June Moore, age 80, of Ferndale, WA passed away Thursday, Dec. 28, 2017. She was born Nov. 1, 1937 in Olean, NY to Henry and Ida Teachman. She moved from NY to Whatcom County in 1954 with her family as part of the Mobile Refinery. She graduated from Ferndale High School in 1955.

Ila was married to Robert Ellis in her younger years, and later married Gordon Moore. She is survived by her children; Darrell Ellis, Duane Ellis, Mark Ellis, Sherry Gadeberg and her late husband Glenn, Rod Moore (Tracey), Vicki Roughton (Steve), Julie Keys, and step-son Steve Moore (Jeanne), sisters; Nina Moravec and Charlene Parker, and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Preceding her in death are her parents, Henry and Ida, brother E. Neal Teachman, and great-granddaughter Zaria Gadeberg

She was a very loving and caring person, raising seven kids of her own, taking in other children, and helping anyone she could. Anyone who visited her would find that she would always bring trays of snacks and, of course, something to drink. She made sure you never left hungry. She made the world a better place. She has now gone to Heaven, saying goodbye is never easy, but like an angel she will fly.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, Jan 4th from 4:30-7:30PM at Moles Greenacres (5700 NW Dr. Ferndale). Funeral services will take place on Friday, Jan 5th at 12PM at Cornerstone Community Church (5732 Olson Rd, Ferndale) followed by a graveside committal at Enterprise Cemetery at 2PM (7041 Vista Dr, Ferndale).
