Obituary

Helen Polmateer passed away January 8, 2017. She was born in Memphis, TN on October 7, 1924. She moved to California in 1956 to be close to family. She was an owner and operator of 3 answering services in the high desert Victorville area. After her retirement, she moved to Ferndale in 1986 to be closer to her daughter, son-in-law, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
She was very involved in the lives of her grandchildren. She helped raise and mentor them and she loved unconditionally. There were trips to the beach, park, and zoo. In the summer she made Kool-Aid and in the winter she made ‘snow cream’, which was a poor man’s version of vanilla ice cream.
After months of declining health she passed through the veil to the loving arms of her Heavenly Father and family that have preceded her.
She leaves behind her daughter, son-in-law, 4 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild to be. Her compassion, wit, and laughter will be sorely missed. She was and is a great lady.

My Sweet Mom,I am grateful and blessed for the time I shared with you and Grandmother during this time. I really don’t have words to express it. So I will say I love you, I pray for you and there for you. When it hurts to much remember it is only for a seasons.

    Much Love
