Obituary

George C. Bailey Jr., age 71, of Deming, passed away on January 3, 2021. He was born on December 15, 1949 in Tacoma, Washington to George Sr. and Eleanor Bailey. George married Carol Roberts in Lynden, Washington on May 23, 1970. He earned his Associate of Arts Degree from Northwest Indian College. His working career included being counselor for many fields from youth to drug and alcohol and was a human resource representative for Nooksack and Sauk Suiattle Tribes. His hobbies were canoe races, stick game player, and soft ball. George was kindhearted, hardworking, helpful, outgoing, loving and a great story teller. He would always greet you with a smile. His family will remember trips they took with him to Omak and Sla-Hal Tournaments. He is preceded in death by his wife Carol Bailey; son Virgil Bailey; parents George Sr. and Eleanor Bailey; and aunties, uncles and grandparents. George is survived by his children Monica Bailey, Jeff Bailey, and Wynette Clark; grandchildren Eric (Amber) Ambrose, Ryan Hilton, Alicia Bailey and Jace Bailey. George was laid to rest in Goshen Cemetery.
