Obituary

Fusako Shultz, age 79, passed away in Bellingham, WA on September 19, 2021.

She was born on November 28, 1941, in Tokyo, Japan to Kozaburo and Yoshi Moriwaki. Fusako married John F. Schultz Jr. on February 16, 1970. Together they raised two sons, Steven and David. Fusako and John enjoyed 36 years of marriage until John’s passing in 2006.

Fusako managed the family home with efficiency and grace. She loved to cook, feeding whomever she could. During the remodel of her home, Fusako would prepare meals for the builders so they wouldn’t have to leave for lunch. She would often make biscotti for the mail carrier and anyone else who would take some. Fusako absolutely loved chocolate and pasta.

Fusako stayed active golfing with friends and was a member of the Lake Padden Ladies’ Club.

She is preceded in death by her husband John and family friend Doris Janovich.

Fusako is survived by her sons Steven (Dhyana) and David, grandchildren Ty and Chloe, and numerous nieces and nephews.
