Obituary

Elliott Charles Billy, Sr. born April 2, 1939 in Swinomish, Washington passed away June 12, 2015 in Bellingham, WA, as he was surrounded by family and friends.
He was a loving father, brother, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle and friend. Elliott was a man of good character and pride. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends sharing stories and telling jokes. He will be greatly missed. So many memories of a loving and caring man. Always remember his laugh, his jokes, his wave in his hair.
Throughout his lifetime he worked as a commercial fisherman, logger and wood carver. He was a man of many trades and skills. He served his country in the military. He was a member of the Nooksack Indian Tribe.

Preceded in death by his parents Andrew Billy and Martha; brothers Alexander Billy, Gary Billy, and Lloyd Billy; sons Elliot Billy Jr., Joseph “Andy” Jones and Loren Cultee; daughters Ella “Fatter” Sanchez and Ivy Gus, and his great-grandson Gene Marius.

He is survived by his sons Lloyd (Lisa), Steven Doutre (Kathy), Nathan, Kitsap, Chris and Alvin Cultee; daughters Charlene Holycross, Margaret Seward, Julie Cultee Thomas and Christine Cultee; brother Paul Castillo; sister Barbara “Doreen” Jimmy, and his grandchildren, great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews who all loved him dearly.

Prayer service to be held at 15916 Reservation Road, LaConner, WA on Tuesday, June 16, 2015 at 7:00PM.
Funeral service will be held Wednesday, June 17, 2015 at Swinomish Community Building at 10 AM with a burial to follow at Swinomish Indian Cemetery.
