Obituary
Douglas Leroy Cooper “Lee Tee Ah Til” was born on January 25, 1962 to Jan and Willie Cooper in Bellingham, Washington. Doug was an easy-going man who enjoyed the little things in life.
He was the biggest Seahawks fan around and also enjoyed watching WWE. Doug had a contagious smile that would light up the room and he would be sure that you too walked away smiling because that’s just who he was. Traveling on the canoe journey was so important to Doug. He was so proud of his family canoe and would take in every moment of healing, singing and just being with his loved ones.
Those who were closest to him would tell you that he loved to visit. He would make phone calls to just talk or if there was something going on, he would be sure to check in with you. Doug was a firm believer in prayer and always had something good to say about others. His welcoming hugs and cheerful personality will be missed.
Douglas is survived by his father Willie Cooper; son Codey Johnny; daughters Kaylishus Boome and Kesha Boome; brothers Tony Johnny, Kenny Johnny, Rob Cooper, Ron Cooper, Alex Cooper and Frank Cooper; aunts Rozalda Roberts, Char Roberts and Sandra Joseph; uncle Elder “Smokey” Roberts; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Douglas is preceded in death by his mother Jan Cooper; daughter Krystal “Lee Tee Ah Wit” Cooper; brothers Russell, Rodney and baby Cooper; grandparents Bill and Rose Roberts and Bob and Verle Cooper; uncles Maynard Roberts, Roy Roberts, John Roberts, Bud Roberts and Phil Hunter; and aunt Baby Roberts.
There will be a prayer service held on Thursday, December 16,2021 at 6pm and a funeral service on Friday, December 17,2021 at 10am. Both services will be held at the Nooksack Community Building.
