Obituary

Dorothy Idella Cowin-Partlow, age 86, of Bellingham, WA, passed away at home surround by her family on September 2, 2022. She was born on September 30, 1935, in Glasgow, MT to Fred and Eleanor Cowin.

Dorothy married her high school sweetheart, Duane Partlow on March 25, 1953.

Dorothy enjoyed camping, fishing, crocheting (she made Afghans for each of her grandkids), playing pinochle, cribbage, and bowling. She was a member of the Bellingham Moose #477 for several years and a member of the Bellingham Elks for 4 years. She loved to cook.

She worked for Gus & Naps Tavern, then went to BCT to get her GED, where she graduated with bookkeeping skills. She enjoyed doing the book work for her cousin and her aunt Dorothy.

Dorothy is preceded in death by her father Fred Cowin; mother Eleanor Skogstad; brothers Walter and Ron Cowin; her husband of 57 years Duane; son David; and granddaughters Michell Kiernan and Justina Owens.

She is survived by daughters Diane Pullar, Darlene Krieter, Donna (Brian) Tow; sons Dennis (Tracey) Partlow, Donald (Peggy) Partlow; 18 grandkids; 35 great-grandkids; 5 great-great-grandkids; a very special sister-in-law Ann Cowin Arntson; and special cousin Larry (Deanna) Degolier.

She will be missed very much!

Here final resting place is at Greenacres Memorial Park. There will be a Celebration of Life at the Bellingham Elks Lodge #194, 710 Samish Way on Thursday September 22, 11:30am – 3:30pm.
