Obituary

Diane Marie (LaPlante, Fairall) Strom, age 67, of Ferndale became an angel on Monday June 1, 2015 and was reunited with her soulmate, Dale L Strom. Diane was born July 11, 1947 to Lester W LaPlante and Olga V (Rossing) LaPlante.
She was raised in the Bellingham area. She attended Bellingham High School. Her hobbies included making jewelry, going to the beach and collecting driftwood. She also loved planting flowers and various crafts. She was a huge collector of Elvis memorabilia. She loved the rain and animals.
She is survived by her five children: Lester D Fairall of Ferndale; Candace S (Bruce) Colson of Stanwood; Christie L Strom of Ferndale; Gregory A Strom of Ferndale; Dawn M (Kevin) Powell of Stanwood. Her brothers: Robert L (Johanna) LaPlante of Arlington; Gordon L (Flossie) Pullar of Alaska; 14 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. All loved her dearly.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Dale L Strom; Her parents, Lester W and Olga V LaPlante; Her nephew, Craig LaPlante; and her sister-in-law, Debra Massingale. All of Bellingham.
A graveside service is to occur on Friday, June 12, 2015 at 2:30pm at Greenacres Memorial Park in Ferndale. A reception will follow at Candace’s home in Stanwood.
