Obituary

Delbert Hubbard passed away peacefully on July 25th, 2022, at The Hospice House in Bellingham, WA. He was 85 years old residing at Silverado Memory Care in Bellingham, WA.

Del was born in Poulsbo, WA. on February 21st, 1937. His parents were William and Janette (Christenson) Hubbard. Del had two brothers and five sisters. He is survived by Wesley, Naoma, Joyce, Leroy and Janice, also by his second wife, Audrey (Hornibrook) Hubbard, his son Aaron Hubbard and his daughter Lisa (Hubbard) McKenna. He has four grandchildren, Denny, Breanna, CJ and Benjamin. Del has many nephews and nieces.

Del attended middle school in Poulsbo and graduated from high school in Seattle. He retired from Western Washington University as Systems Controller and from Bellingham Technical College, after working full time he worked part time for a few years until 2008.

Del left us too soon, he will be sadly missed, and his memory greatly cherished by his loving wife, his family and so many of his friends. Del was a devout Christian, a loyal and wonderful husband and was always very helpful to neighbors and friends.

We’re comforted by knowing we will be together again, in a place where there’s no more pain and sickness. Thank you for sharing your extraordinary knowledge, wisdom, and devotion to the truth, regardless of the cost.
