Obituary
David Carl Bielaski passed away on November 7, 2017, at the age of 87. He was born September 9, 1930 in Whatcom County to Joseph and Julia Bielaski. David attended Mt. Baker High School, class of 1948, where he enjoyed playing basketball and being outdoors. He grew up hunting and fishing around his Grandfather’s homestead in the Acme area.
After high school, David served in the Army, achieving the rank of corporal. He also served as a volunteer fire fighter with Whatcom County Fire District 1. He worked at Georgia Pacific for 20 years, then went into the real estate and construction business.
David loved to bowl, hunt and fish. In later years he enjoyed trout fishing in Eastern Washington and fall trips to the Oregon coast.
David was preceded in death by his parents, and sister. He is survived by his love, Lavina; four children, eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. The family would like to extend special thanks to Eden Home Health and the staff at the Spring Creek retirement community. Donations can be made to the Lighthouse Mission.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, January 3rd at 1:00 pm at Bayview Cemetery, followed by a reception at Moles Farewell Tributes, 2465 Lakeway Drive, Bellingham.
