Obituary

Cory Landers passed away quietly with family and friends at his bedside at Harborview Hospital in Seattle on May 21, 2016. He was born in New Westminster, British Columbia, September 26, 1975 and moved to Whatcom County in 1988 at 13 years of age.
Despite being challenged by Osteogenesis Imperfecta (brittle bone disease) throughout his life, Cory was able to overcome the many obstacles he faced and lived life to its fullest with an unbreakable spirit. Cory was well educated, earning both his Bachelors and MBA at Western Washington University. Cory also earned his CPA designation in his mid-twenties, something he was extremely proud of. Cory was a 15 year veteran of the banking industry, working for several local banking institutions, most recently with Washington Federal as a Relationship Manager. Cory was well respected in his career for his analytical abilities, integrity, calm demeanor, and his incredible sense of humor.
His interests were diverse. As a youngster he enjoyed skiing and karate. He loved kids (especially challenging his nephew in video games), and developed a love for Golden Retrievers, fishing, golf, trap shooting, blues guitar, photography, technology, gourmet cooking, and grilling.
Cory is survived by his mum, Wendy Webb, his dad, Terry Landers, his two brothers Michael Landers and Sean Landers, and numerous other family members. We will miss him deeply.
Cory’s memorial will be June 18, 2016 at 11 AM at Moles Farewell Tributes Bellingham (2465 Lakeway Drive). The family respectfully requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Osteogenesis Imperfecta Foundation.
