Obituary

Claudette Norris, age 72, passed away November 14, 2018. She was born on May 28, 1946 in Sedro Woolley to Richard and Wilma Walton. Claudette grew up on Prairie Road and graduated from Sedro Woolley High School. She married Don Norris and raised three children.

Claudette drove a school bus for both Ferndale and Bellingham School Districts, and eventually moved into shipping and receiving. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and a good friend to many. She always had a smile and kind word for anyone she met. She enjoyed off-road camping trips, cooking, baking and spending time with her family at the McGary’s lake house. Claudette will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her parents Richard and Wilma Walton, brother Charles Walton, and son Richard Norris. Claudette is survived by her sisters Paulette Leslie and Delores Sepulveda; daughters Janet (Pat) McGary and Donna (Eric) Sandvig; grandchildren Erika and Kyle Sandvig; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A celebration of Claudette’s life will be held on Wednesday, November 28, 2018 from 1:00 to 3:00 at Moles Farewell Tributes, 2465 Lakeway Dr. Bellingham.

    We are so sorry to hear of Claudette’s passing. Claudette was a wonderful person, always smiling and friendly. Orv and I always enjoyed being around her. She will be missed. We are so sorry for you loss and are thinking of you a lot at this time.
