Obituary

Charlie was born in Odessa, WA to Charles and Velma (Hale) Alvis on February 13, 1921. In 1940, she married Clyde F. Shipley. She worked as a teller for Northwest Commercial Bank for 20 years before retiring. She was also a part owner of Jumping Jack restaurant for 9 years.

Survivors include her daughters, Sharon Harrison (John) and Charlene Kearns (Bob), son Tom Shipley (Dixie), seven grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.

She is preceded in death by her parents, and husband Clyde.

A public visitation will be Thursday, December 14th from 2:30 – 4:30 PM at Moles Greenacres. A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 15th at 10:30AM at Moles Farewell Tributes Greenacres (5700 NW Dr. Ferndale).

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made the to the Bellingham Theatre Guild (1600 H St, Bellingham), one of Charlie’s favorite local businesses.
