Obituary

Cara Natalie Cultee was a Provider, Mother, Daughter, Sister, Aunty, Best Friend, Humble, Loving, Hard-working, Beautiful Soul, Funny, Happy, Kind, Encouraging, andCheerleader. She received her GED at Northwest Indian College and was employed full time at the Silver Reef Casino as a Server. Cara and her Mate Sean Johnson had been together since September 8, 2006. She loved being with her children, Sean and Mahniah. Making sure that her mate and their children did things as a unit. Taking them to their sports games, and to family BBQ’s. She made being a mom look easy, making sure that they had all the groceries for the meals, and that the kids had all the necessary equipment for whatever sport they were participating in, and all the things Mother’s do for their children. Cara loved being with her family, bringing her kids to the park and taking walks on the boardwalk.  She would harvest clams by going out digging with the Cultee Crew. Ever since birth she participated in Lummi’s famous “Last Name” basketball tournaments. Recently she spent time with her mate going to the Lummi Fitness Center. She enjoyed taking her children to the library, and to the movies. Cara loved arts and crafts. She made dream catchers to give away. During the winter months she was very helpful in any way by cooking, getting Christmas gifts ready for the children at CrabBay Smokehouse and teaching her children too. Fall was her favorite time of the year to shop for Halloween costumes.

Survived by her mate Sean Johnson; daughter Mahniah Johnson; son Sean D. Johnson; parents Christopher Sr. and Susan Cultee; sisters Tessa Gaona, Alsie Wolfblack, Jackie Wolfblack and Elizabeth Cultee; brother Christopher Cultee Jr.; nephews Isaac Martin, Guy, Charles, Mitch Solomon, and DeShawn; nieces Rayanna Martin, Brilee Gaona, Stella, Pricilla, Mazie, Miracle and Patricia Ann Morganroth; She is preceded in death by her grandparents Gladys and Kitsap Jr. Cultee; uncles Loren Cultee Sr. and Nathan Cultee Sr.; aunty Georgianna James and nephew Henry Morganroth III.

A prayer service will be held on Friday, October 4, at 6:00pm. Funeral services will be Saturday, October 5, at 10:00am. Both services will be at the Wexliem Community Building.
