Obituary

On August 7th 2014, Barbara Lucille (Tucker) Sheppard passed into the loving arms or her savior, Jesus Christ. Barbara was born in Grand Rapids Minnesota on September 2, 1925 to Dr. Clarence and Ruth Tucker. She was the last surviving sibling of six children born to her parents. She attended college at the University of Minnesota and graduated in 1945 as a dental hygienist. She married Benjamin Sheppard on October 27th 1945. They were just shy of their 70th wedding anniversary. The happy couple had two beautiful children, Tuck and Sandi. During her life, she enjoyed skiing, sewing and knitting. She had numerous family and good friends. She used her spiritual gifts to listen, counsel and share biblical wisdom with many. She surely didn’t know how many lives she touched. She will be greatly missed. We believe it isn’t good bye; it’s merely… until we meet again. A memorial celebration will be at Sunrise Baptist Church (2480W. Badger Rd. Custer, WA) on Tuesday, August 18th at 2:00pm. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Sunrise Women’s Ministries or Whatcom Hospice.
