Born to Dean Williams and Virginia (Jinx) James Williams. Born in Bellingham, Alice spent her childhood with her grandparents, George and Irene James. She loved to travel with her grandfather everywhere as he was the chairman of the Duwamish tribe. Alice graduated from Ferndale High School, and was a former Stommish Princess, gaining her the nickname “Princess”.
She worked for the United States Census Bureau for 35 years, retiring after the 2010 Census was complete. She received commendations and certifications in many things, and always excelled at everything she did. She also worked for LIBC and BIA.
Alice’s favorite pastimes included spending time with her loved ones, visiting casinos, and watching her favorite TV shows. She traveled to dozens of reservations during work at the census and loved to visit beautiful places, capturing those moments on film. She was greatly loved by her family and friends from near and far and did what she could for everyone she cared for.
Alice was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers Virgil and Dean(Larry) Williams; and survived by her siblings Ronald, Carol (Lane), Gary, and George; daughters JulieAnn Solomon, Jacqueline Solomon; and son Roque (Rook) Tapuro Jr., as well as her long time best friend Roque (Roy) Tapuro. Alice was blessed by 11 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. She also had numerous nieces and nephews.

I’m so sorry for your loss! Did you know that soon you’ll be reunited with your loved again! I can hardly believe that my friend Alice is gone. She was so much fun and a very kind and giving person. I think about her often and was so glad we got to visit each other not too long ago at a casino. I will miss her dearly. My prayers are with her, her family and loved ones.
