Obituary

Edna Mae Howick will be missed by many, especially her family. Edna was an Iowa gal, she attended the small Hayfield, Iowa school through to high school graduation. She married her love, Max R. Howick, in Fort Dodge, Iowa on June 26th, 1946. They spent many good years together, and Max passed in spring of 2004. Edna and Max were dedicated parents to their two children; they loved going on fishing vacations in Northern Minnesota and spending time as a family. For the past twenty years, Edna and Max loved to escape the cold to winter in Texas. Recently, she moved to the Ferndale area to be closer to her children.

Edna is predeceased by her 10 siblings, and her parents. Edna is survived by her son Allan Howick, her daughter Karen Nesvold, son-in-law Ray Maki, granddaughter Michelle Evangeline, grandsons Mathew and Michael Howick, and cousin Bob Halford. Her caring heart and independent spirit will be remembered fondly.

Edna’s family wishes to express deep gratitude to the second floor North staff at Peace Health hospital & to Hospice House for all of their help and support.
