Edna (McNeill) Freeman

Edna Mae (McNeill) Freeman of Blaine, WA passed away Thursday, June 28, 2012, at the age of 83. She was born in Skagit County and raised in Whatcom County, where she retired from Bank of America in 1992. Edna married Vernon Babe Freeman in 1948 in Custer and raised their five children in Blaine.

Edna was preceded in death by Vernon Babe with whom she shared 40 years until his death in 1988. Edna was a loving Mother and Grandmother. Her world revolved around her family. She will be greatly missed by her family including her children Nancy (Les) Depauw, Cliff (Anne) Freeman, Pam (Bill) Salter, Jean (Paul) St. Hilaire, and Peggy (Andy) Freeman-Redfern, 12 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and sisters-in-law Nora Atwood, Ethel Gobbato, and Marilyn Mitchell.

A celebration of life will be held Thursday, July 5, at 11:00 AM, at The Chapel at Moles Greenacres, 5700 Northwest Dr., Ferndale, WA.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Blaine Senior Center.
