Rules & Regulations
We're honored to serve you in our Park. For the safety and comfort of all visitors, please respect the following guidelines.
Parkwide Rules
- Greenacres Memorial Park is open Dawn to Dusk.
- Greenacres office is open Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 4:30 PM, except Holidays.
- Speed limit in the Park is 10 mph.
- Please do not park on the grass.
- Pets must be on a leash and all pet waste picked up.
- Please place trash in the canisters located throughout the Park.
Flowers and Decorations
- Arrangements will be removed by Park Staff when they become unsightly, wilted, or when they no longer conform to the standards maintained.
- All decorations removed by Park Staff are irretrievable unless marked by a Yellow Zip Tie. (see yellow zip tie rules)
- Plants, planters, pictures, boxes, shells, toys, artwork, ornaments, chairs, pedestals, statues, balloons, or similar articles are not permitted. (see holiday exceptions)
Holiday Exceptions
- Exceptions are made for Easter, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Memorial Day, Veteran’s Day, and Christmas.
- Decorations placed for these Holidays should be removed by families within one week of the Holiday.
- Park Staff will remove all decorations (flowers or otherwise) beginning the 8th day following Holidays and beginning January 7th following Christmas.
- Decorations must not exceed 24” in height.
Ground Memorials
- Trenching around grave markers, digging of holes, or planting of any type is prohibited. Marker damage due to trenching will not be repaired or replaced by Greenacres Memorial Park.
- Ground Memorials are trimmed by Park Staff twice per year: Spring and Fall only.
- March–October (mowing season) Fresh flowers only. Flowers may be placed in permanent or temporary vases.
- November–February Artificial plants and flowers are acceptable.
Yellow Zip Tie
- To obtain a Yellow Zip Tie please visit Greenacres office.
- Decorations that are marked with a Yellow Zip Tie will be held at our Park facility for a maximum of 45 days.
- Greenacres Memorial Park will not be liable for any decorations left in the Park, whether marked by a Yellow Zip Tie or otherwise.
Forsythia Indoor Mausoleum & Columbarium Niches
- Only fresh or artificial flowers permitted.
- Do not use decals, wire, or tape to attach arrangements to crypt or niche fronts. (see office for vase options)
- Forsythia Indoor Mausoleum pass key available during office hours.

The Meadow Green Burial Ground
- Only fresh flower arrangements which have had all non-biodegradable (plastic, ribbon, etc.) materials removed are permitted.
- The only in-ground plants permitted are select native plants approved by Greenacres Memorial Park. (see office for details)
- All Meadow planting time must be approved. (call office)
- All unauthorized planting will be removed immediately.
