Obituary

William August James, age 66, of Bellingham, passed away on February 26, 2019. He was born on February 2, 1953 in Seattlel, Washington to William H. James and Corinne Louise Pettis. He graduated from Garfield High School. His favorite activities included hiking, bike riding, playing cribbage and taking a dip in the water. He was a funny, happy and adventurous guy. He is survived by his sister Audrey Noland-James; brothers Kermit James and Armour H. James; daughter Adaline McDonald; son Adlai James; grandchildren Adaline Cooper, Tishawn Simmons and Diamond Simmons. He is preceded in death by his parents; brother Kwina Michael James; son August James; nephews Robert James and William C. Solomon. A funeral service will be held on Monday, March 4 at 10:30am at the Wexliem Community Building. Burial will follow in the Lummi Nation Cemetery.

  2. Heaven gained another Angel when cousin William August James was greeted into eternity by our many relatives and ancestors who went on before us.
    My sincere heartfelt condolences to William’s brothers Kermit Joseph James and Armour H. James, and to his sister Audrey Noland-James.

    Also I am sending prayers, love and condolences to William’s children Adaline McDonald and his son Adlai James; and to his grandchildren Adaline Cooper, Tishawn Simmons and Diamond Simmons.
