Obituary
Those we love don’t go away. They walk beside us every day. Unseen, unheard, but always nearby. A life that is still cherished held on by memories, still loved, still missed, and so very dear.
Skyler was born on April 16th, 1983, in Bellingham WA to Vicky Jefferson and Valentino Revey. He was raised by his father Gary Williams from the time he was eight months old. As a growing child he attended schools in the Ferndale school district just outside of Lummi Nation. Also, as a young boy he played Baseball and enjoyed being outdoors as most boys do.
Life was always one big adventure. He was not going to sit back instead he got out there and was willing to give it his all. One day the water called out to him, pulling him towards the beach like a magnet. It was then that he pondered the thought of canoe pulling. Being in the Autumn Rose canoe club he enjoyed his time with his cousins and friends on and off the water.
Dean Washington and Bernalyn Hillaire took him under their wing and helped him to grow into a young man. Through the years their bond grew. He had so much respect for Bern and Dean. They became like his second parents, and he started to call them both mom and dad. Through the family connections and the canoe club he was introduced to a beautiful young lady.
Sometime later he took her as his wife, and they moved to Arizona. He resided there for 22 years and the two of them had six beautiful children. In 2019 he fell heartbroken because he lost the love of his life. Learning to navigate his new reality as a single father was difficult, but he made her a promise that he would do his best in raising his children. Every day was a battle his heart never mended most days he was really good at hiding the pain.
He did try his best to be a good dad. Skyler was always in communication with his family from back home with facetime and text messaging. He had a way to make everyone feel loved. Let us all remember his amazing life and all the years shared. Never forget the times he showed his joy, his laugh, love for having a good time, and Bumping music while singing along.
Celebrate with us a life that brought so many smiles, unconditional love, and joy everywhere he went. His memory will live on through our hearts and our stories. His love will still echo to the next generation and beyond. This is not a goodbye it is a I will see you one day.
Skylar is survived by his parents, his children Athena, Ryan, Skylar, Payton, Aurilea, Adriel, Grandmother Mary Scarbrough, Uncles and Aunt John, Jackie, Mike Thomas, God mother Judy Leathers. He was preceded in death by his wife Adrianna, Grandparents James and Sally Jefferson, Grandpa Tino, sister Shannon, God dad Mike Lawarence

Love you bro. Glad you reached out to me recently. I felt your pain and I’m glad you seen me as a person to share that with. We grew up together and you will forever live on in my memories.
