Obituary

Sherie was called home on January 18, 2025. She was born in Bellingham on July 6, 1958, and lived in Whatcom County all her life.

Sherie attended Ferndale High School, then worked for Simplot Trucking driving trucks delivering Whatcom and Skagit County’s field crops to the Simplot Processing Plant in Ferndale for several years. Sherie also served Whatcom County residents from behind the counters of various BP and Chevron Gas Stations for many years.

Sherie’s greatest joy came from raising her children and opening her home and heart to anyone in need and everyone needing a friend and listening ear. Whether taking a friend to a doctor appointment or caring for the little ones of friends in need, Sherie gave all of herself to others. Sherie is survived by her daughter Michelle, son Anthony, granddaughter Marie, Mother Sharon, brothers Larry (Carrie), Ken (Keli) and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Sherie was “Nana” and “Ma” to many bonus kids and “grandkids”. Sherie is preceded in death by her father Donald (Bill), her maternal and paternal grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins.

Sherie’s final resting place will be a private burial at Woodlawn Cemetery in Ferndale with her grandparents Evelyn and Hans and other beloved family.

Please join the family for Sherie’s Celebration of Life at Greenacres in Ferndale on January 31, 2025 at 10 am.

In lieu of flowers, please share your love for Sherie with the Whatcom Humane Society in Sherie’s name.

  1. Sharon, Larry, Ken and families. We are so sorry for your loss. Although we had only met Sherie once or twice, we can imagine the whole her loss leaves and the suffering that follows. We hope that as time passes, you will recall joyful memories of time shared with Sherie. Sending hugs and love your way!

She will be missed. Way back when we were young living on Daulberg Road we used to ride horses everyday. I pray for her family.

Sharon, Larry, Ken, and family; I grew up in the same neighborhood and I’ll always remember riding horses with Sherie and her horse, Sirsen.. I always admired Sharie in that she was never afraid of anything! Thank you for sharing her with us all those years. Keeping you close in thoughts and prayer.
