Obituary
Peggy Larsen Gregory peacefully departed to rest eternally with her Lord and Savior. Born on June 16, 1933, to John and Lillian Meyers of Custer, WA, Peggy’s journey was one of faith, family, and tireless service.
A graduate of Ferndale High School, Peggy married her beloved high school sweetheart, Gilbert Larsen, with whom she raised three children. Their shared commitment to Christianity blossomed when they embraced Jesus at a Billy Graham Crusade. Peggy’s industrious spirit and talent were evident as she assisted Gilbert in various endeavors, from drawing house plans to managing finances, and even contributing to the physical aspects of home projects with her skilled painting and staining.
Tragically, Peggy faced the sudden loss of Gilbert in 1971, yet she courageously forged ahead, exemplifying resilience and determination. She found purpose in her work at All About Travel and later realized her dream and establishing The Travel Gallery, where she delighted in aiding others to plan and embark on memorable adventures.
Beyond her professional achievements, Peggy remained devoted to her roles as a mother and grandmother, continuously building a legacy of love and support. Her strength and compassion touched the lives of all who knew her.
Peggy is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Gilbert Larsen, her son Dean Larsen, Brother Don Myers her son-in-law David Akre, and her parents, Lillian and John Myers.
She leaves behind a cherished legacy carried on by her children, Bruce Larsen of Bellingham and Julie Akre of Kauai, Hawaii, her sister Nancy Hagen as well as her adored grandchildren: Amy (Trent) Slusher, Trisha Larsen, Heidi Larsen Pederson (Dave), Miranda Barnett (Brett), Bryce Akre, Kelli Akre, 12 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
In the hearts of those she loved and who loved her, Peggy’s spirit will forever endure, a beacon of faith, strength, and unwavering love.
