Obituary
Nicole Hurtubise of Bellingham Washington died unexpectedly at home on July 1. She is survived by her mother, sisters, brothers and strong group of friends. Nicole was a graduate of Western Washington University as well as Columbus (Ohio) Ft Hayes Career Center where she studied music and the performing arts. She performed in Bellingham with her group Stirred not Shaken.
Nicole was an amazing friend to so many and will be profoundly missed. She was the epitome of a true friend – always by your side if you needed her. She had a strong core group of friends who she loved deeply. Her mother, five sisters and brothers will grieve her absence forever. She was our baby sister, our guide, and a playful friend.
Nicole was a peaceful soul. She was grounded in her health, the environment, love of all animals, and nature. Her strength was evident to all physically and mentally. She took family and friends hiking, biking, paddling, sailing and aerial yoga! She fed those she loved. Nicole created the most healthy, delectable, and gourmet meals that you could imagine. She also put her love into helping anyone and everyone with projects.
Nicole’s insightful and thoughtful, wise and kind words will be deeply missed. Nicole was a thoughtful, funny, and caring aunt to her nine nieces and nephews. A patient teacher with a silly side. Nicole was adventurous- she loved to travel and made it easier for others to be daring as well. Favorite spots were Mexico, France, Italy,, and most recently Spain.
Family and friends will begin gathering from 1:00 to 3:00 on Thursday, July 8 at Moles Farewell Tributes & Crematory – Bayview Chapel 2465 Lakeway Dr, Bellingham, WA 98229. The celebration of life will begin at 3pm.
