Obituary
Whidbey has lost a wonderful man. Kent Hodges passed away peacefully at home on January 2nd, surrounded by his family. He had a life well-lived and loved, married to his Ballard High sweetheart, Diane (King) Hodges. Together they were proud parents of two sons, Bob & Casey (Kimberly) who made him ‘Papa’ to his Grandchildren, Samantha (Brayden), Brayden, Lilly, Ryan, and great-granddaughter, Vera Mae. Along with dearest extended family and friends, his warm smile, calming presence, and big hugs will be sorely missed. At his request, a private ceremony will be held. Dearest Diane and family, may your hearts be at peace knowing Kent is at peace with our Lord.
I’ll always smile when I think of his smile and his love for fishing. A good man has left this earth.

I always enjoyed fishing along side Kent on the beach. His smile and excitement will be missed by all of his fellow anglers!

A smile to light up a room –whether he showed up as himself, Santa, or a fisherman extraordinaire! Kent, your legacy lives on in amazing sons and grandchildren. Blessings and hugs to your beautiful Diane and all who loved you!
