Obituary

John “Judo” Jefferson was born on November 11, 1957 in Bellingham, to Francis Sr. and Norma (Underwood) Jefferson. He was the youngest sibling of 11. John graduated from Ferndale High School.  You could not keep him still. He escaped from the hospital a few times. Judo would spontaneously show up at his son Jamie’s to visit with him and his grandson. He was very athletic. One time he locked 2  Sheriff Deputies in the back of their patrol car.  He is survived by his son Jamie Jefferson; brother Michael S. Jefferson; sisters Norma “Ruby” Boome and Carol George and grandson John Jefferson. He was preceded in death by his son John Brazil Jefferson Jr.; brothers Joseph Jefferson, Francis L. Jefferson Jr., William “Poncho” Jefferson, Norman Jefferson and Dana Jefferson; sisters Priscilla Jefferson and Patricia LaClair; parents Francis L. Jefferson Sr. and Norma A. Jefferson; grandparents Joseph and Matilda (Peters) Jefferson, Michael Underwood and Ruby Alexander; nephews Timothy Jefferson, Phillip LaClair, Marvin Cooper and Patrick LaClair; nieces Lorlei Boome, Dana Damien, Norma Jefferson,  Katie Jefferson and LaShelle Jefferson.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, February 10, at 10:00am at Mole Farewell Tributes, 2039 Main Street, Ferndale.
