Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Javier Prieto, who passed away on February 20, 2025, at the age of 63. Javier was born on June 16, 1961, in Fresno, CA. He grew up in the Pacific Northwest and graduated from Montesano High School. After working at Weyerhaeuser for several years, Javier went on to nursing school, where he met his wife, Heather.
Javier married Heather on July 22, 2012, and together they built a wonderful life. Some of the family’s favorite memories are from their long road trips. Javier loved to sing along to music, even if he wasn’t always on key. He would also drive through puddles just to make his kids laugh when the car splashed water everywhere. His humor and energy made every moment special.
Javier was known for his big personality and for making people laugh. For 31 years, he worked as a clown, bringing joy to so many. He also enjoyed dancing, driving his car, and creating balloon art for everyone to enjoy.
Javier was kind, generous, dependable, and always made people smile with his sarcasm and sense of style. His family and friends will always remember his warm hugs and the smell of his Stetson cologne.
Javier is survived by his parents, his sister, his wife Heather, his children Sky, Alex, Nikki, Hannah, Brent, and Ace, and his two grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his brother, Salvador Junior.
A memorial service will be held at the family home in Lynden, WA on March 1st, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM. All who knew and loved Javier are invited to join the family in celebrating his life.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to a charity of your choice in Javier’s memory.
Javier will be deeply missed, but his laughter, love, and joy will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
