Obituary

Jana Lea Heidingsfelder born November 13, 1950, to James and Olive Heidingsfelder, passed away on December 3, 2024 at the age of seventy-four.

She is survived by her brother Jeri; sister LeaAnn (Rod) Fadden; nieces and nephews: Nathan (Kate) Fadden, (Riley, Becket), Marla (Mike) Hansen, Regan and Tili, Carli (Kyle) Thon (Olive, Rosie, Noa), and Jeff Heidingsfelder.

Jana lived in Kauai, HI, for 17 years until life brought her back to Washington where she renewed her relationship with her high school sweetheart Marc Rhea at their 20th high school reunion. They rekindled their bond and began a new chapter of their lives together until Marc’s passing from cancer. Jana was surrounded by the love of family and friends, with whom she shared many happy and memorable moments.

She was preceded in death by her parents James and Olive; sister Marla; brothers James and Jeff; nephew Jerrod Fadden.

Jana’s family and friends will miss her deeply and remember her kindness and the joyful times that they shared. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider donating to Whatcom Hospice House in her honor.
