Jim was born in Grand Junction, Colorado on December 6, 1943. He graduated from High School in Pueblo, Colorado and went on to serve with the Airforce in Germany for 4 years.

Upon completion of the Airforce, Jim travelled to Seattle, Washington to join his brother Gene. There he met Rosemary Tyo and they were married July 19, 1969 at St. Monica’s Catholic Church on Mercer Island. Jim and Rosemary settled in Kirkland, WA to raise their daughter Kristin. As a father and husband, Jim was forever committed, supportive and always proud of his family and their endeavors.
