Obituary

Everett “Ed” Soderberg was the first of three children, born to Edward and Margaret Soderberg on July 18, 1927 in Portland, Oregon.
After graduating from Benson High School, Ed served his country in the United States Navy. After his service he attended OSU, earning a B.S. in Forestry, and married Betty Sorensen in 1952. While working as a machinist at Bingham Willamette, Ed attended PSU, where he earned a degree in Chemical Engineering.
Ed and Betty later divorced, and Ed moved to Sitka, Alaska where he began his career as a chemist at Alaska Lumber and Pulp Co.
In 1976, he married Isabelle Ann Lee, and the two retired to Ferndale, WA in 1988. Ed and Isabelle enjoyed travel and times spent with family and friends. Isabelle passed away in 2000.
He enjoyed a life long passion for mountain climbing, backpacking, skiing, hiking, and canoeing.
He is survived by his sisters; Elaine Kahler and Kathie Bilotti, children; Karen Kelleher, Kristi Williams, Ed Soderberg, Bruce Soderberg, Darlene Beam, Harry Lee, Doreen Garrity, Steven Lee, Cynthia Lee, Lloyd Lee, Wendy Johnson, and Kevin Lee, 38 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, and friend Dorothy.
