Obituary

Cassandra M Garipee “Sundie” age 66, of Ferndale, passed away on November 7, 2020. Cassandra graduated from Ferndale High School and attended Northwest Indian College. Her favorite activities included watching the Seahawks, teaching others to cook, playing solitaire, and going to the Skagit Casino. Her family will remember her smile and her standing in the kitchen canning fish, popping popcorn with extra butter and her doing puzzles with the granddaughters in the living room. She was an intelligent, beautiful, loving, stern, strong and powerful woman. Cassandra is survived by her son Vincent Misanes Jr.; daughter Alvira Gambler; sisters, Martine Jefferson, Josephine Martin, Hope, Martin, and Emmy Martin; brother Gerald Misanes Jr.; grandchildren Shadrack I. Misanes, Amethyst Gambler, and Zariah Gambler; great-grandson Shadrack S. Misanes and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband Steve Parks; dad, Wesley C. Martin; mom Elizabeth A. Garipee; grandparents Agnus Larock and Francis “Frenchie” Garipee; brothers Greg C. Martin, August Martin, George Garipee and Neil Martin; sister Faith Martin; grandson Issac O. Misanes; uncle Vick Garipee; aunts Sharon Wolfe and Mary Hugh and great aunt Lily Scholtz; nephew Wesley C. Jefferson and cousin Gregory C. Jefferson.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 11, at 10:00am at Moles Farewell Tributes Main St. Ferndale.
