Allen Vincent Emmons

Allen V. Emmons age 79, of Everson, WA, passed away at home, on Sunday, July 8, 2012. He is survived by his loving wife Shirley of 59 years, son Brett (Dona) of Everson, WA; daughter, Brenda (Mike) Copland, of Bothell, WA, grandchildren Kyle, Brady (Katie) and great-granddaughter Hayden, Katherine Copland, Elizabeth (Nate) Adams, and Christopher Copland, brother Gene (Elaine), and many family members. Allen was born in Bellingham, WA on May 8, 1933 to Luie and Mary Emmons. He graduated from Bellingham High School, worked for Mobil Oil in Ferndale, WA for 34 years and retired in 1988. Allen loved spending time with his family. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating, camping, and golfing with family and friends. He enjoyed many summer days at their riverfront property in Carlton, WA on the Methow River with family and friends, and many winter days in California.
A private family gathering is planned. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Whatcom Hospice foundation at 2901 Squalicum Pkwy., Bellingham, WA 98225.
