Obituary

Aaron Louis Jackson Sanger passed away in his home on the morning of Tuesday, January 9th, from a progressive debilitating muscular disorder. He is survived by his wife, Michele, and their four children, Daron (Karim), Daniel, Narra, and Talya, and two grandchildren, Djuna and Felix, and by his two sisters, Ramona and Lisa, as well as a large extended family.

Aaron’s work at Forest Ethics (Stand), International Rivers, and the Non-GMO Project left hearts touched and old growth forest untouched, rivers undammed and cleaner, and food safer for the world.

A loving and dedicated husband and father, he enjoyed gardening, birdwatching, singing, and song writing in his down time. Memorial contributions may be made to:

I wanted to reach out and tell you how sorry I am for your loss. You do not know me, but Aaron worked with my company as a consultant for about 2 years after he left the Non GMO Project. I just today saw that he had passed away and I was extremely saddened to hear the news. He was a great person to work with, and had mentioned to me his family on more than one occasion. I never knew he had any struggles in life, as he seemed so positive and personable. He has done so much for the food industry and will be missed by so many.
